David has lived in the Southport area for over 25 years. He qualified in 1976 and has extensive experience in both practice and industry.
He and Andrew merged their respective practices in 1993 to form the then Andrew Turpin & Co partnership based near Preston, Lancashire. Davids areas of expertise include:
- Preparation and Audit of Charity accounts
- Preparation of accounts of SMEs
- Business acquisitions, disposals and exit routes
- Company formations and business strategy

Chris gained an Economics degree at Manchester in 1988 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1997 at Haworth Moore in Blackpool. He joined TLL Accountants in late 1997 and was appointed Audit Partner in 2001 and, additionally, Training Partner in 2003.
Chris manages a portfolio of predominantly small/medium sized owner managed businesses based around Lancashire / Merseyside and specializes in business start-ups; solicitors accounts rules and charities.
Chris has assisted a number of clients to obtain grant funding through Business Link and GME. Chris is a Business Link Approved Consultant.
He is the Honorary Treasurer of Kirkham Grammar School “Old Kirkhamians’
Association", Wrea Green Football Club and Wrea Green Cricket Club

Peter Buck

Peter joined the practice after gaining 5 years valuable experience with a “Big 4” practice in Preston, and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996 – training at a local independent firm, in Southport.
He has vast experience of working with Owner Managed businesses as well as larger public companies, in a wide range of industries around the North West, and Cumbria. Over the past 15 years, Peter has worked in industry,and is a recognised specialist in the Charity sector.
As an partner in our Audit and Accounts department Peter is primarily involved with Limited companies, in addition to our large portfolio of charities. His varied experience has given him a sound commercial insight into business, which compliments well his careful attention to client needs.
Peter was recently awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting, being one of the first 50 in the Country to receive this new Qualification.

Andrew Turpin

| Andrew qualified in 1966 with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Sunderland.
He moved to the North West later that year and over the next 20 years gained valuable experience at various managerial levels in industry and commerce.
In March 1986 he decided on a complete career change and started his own accountancy practice at Hesketh Bank, Near Preston. In 1993 he joined forces with David Lucas from Southport.
After 21 years dedicated service to his clients Andrew retired as a partner in May 2007. He does however continue to work in the practice on a consultancy basis |
Joe Stanley

Joe Stanley joined the Firm in February 2004 to head up our Tax Department, having worked in the past in senior tax roles based in Liverpool and Southport at Thornton Baker, Deloittes and Forshaws. He brings to the Firm some thirty eight years of tax experience.
In June 2006 Joe was admitted as an Associate member of The Federation of Tax Advisers

Jenny Blanshard

Jenny gained a 2:1 BA(hons) degree in Accounting & Business in 1997 at Lancashire University and joined the practice in 2000 where she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005.
A key point of contact for many clients around the North West, Jenny manages a portfolio of small/medium sized businesses and is also responsible for staff training and development to assist in the maintenance of the company's high professional standards. |

For the past 32 years he has specialised in general practice with the emphasis on owner managed, corporate and non-corporate accountancy affairs, taxation and business related advice, for clients based in Southport, Liverpool and Preston. |
